PRESCHOOL-3 YEARS TO 5 YEARS

 We work on everything they need to know to ensure they continue to excel once they reach kindergarten. Our philosophy is that we don't have just one style of lesson plan because every child learns differently. We conduct several lessons to allow each child to work at their own level and pace to make sure that their learning experience is a positive and productive one.

CLASS BEGINS AT 9:00 AM JUST LIKE KINDERGARTEN. WE BELIEVE IN KEEPING A SOLID ROUTINE TO HELP PREPARE THEM FOR SCHOOL. DURING THIS TIME WE WILL WORK ON THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

• NUMBERS INCLUDING BASIC MATH
  
•  RECOGNIZING AND WRITING UPPER AND LOWER CASE LETTERS
  
• SHAPES
  
• COLORS
  
• PATTERNS
  
• WRITING THEIR NAME
  
• FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS
  
• SOCIAL SKILLS
  
• TAKING TURNS
  
• SHARING
  
• STRUCTURED PLAY
  
• DRAMATIC PLAY
  
• COOKING
  
• SCIENCE
  
• ART
  
• SELF INDEPENDENCE (ZIPPING ZIPPERS, TYING SHOES, POURING MILK, STACKING CHAIRS & CLEANING UP)
  

 Outside time is twice a day. Children will be provided a minimum of 20 minutes of vigorous physical activity outdoors, for every 3 hours the facility is open. 

Inside activities will be substituted for children when the temperature is 10 degrees or lower. Also if the weather is too severe for outdoor play due to wind chill factors, heavy snow, unsafe conditions ( Icy or Heavy rain, Poor air quality & The occasional moose), indoor vigorous activity will be substituted for outdoor play.

CHILDREN WHO ARE WELL ENOUGH TO BE IN CARE ARE PRESUMED WELL ENOUGH TO PLAY OUTSIDE. IF YOU FORGET YOUR CHILD'S WINTER GEAR WE WILL PROVIDE EXTRAS IF AVAILABLE AT AN ADDITIONAL COST. DUE TO STAFFING RATIOS AND MUNI REGULATIONS ALL CHILDREN MUST GO OUTSIDE IF WEATHER PERMITS. 

We do allow children to bring items in for  "SHOW AND SHARE DAY," which is every Friday.

WE ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOST OR DAMAGED ITEMS. (TOY FIREARMS, KNIVES & SWORDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT ANY TIME OR FOR ANY REASON)
